When you live in NYC or the surrounding areas, there’s never a shortage of things to do. But as a parent, our options are sometimes limited in planning kid-friendly activities in an urban setting. Especially when they get older and going to the playground or a museum just doesn’t cut it anymore. It’s up to us to find new exciting things for them to do and continue to create meaningful memories to experience with them before they grow up.
Luckily, the New York Liberty offers an exciting and unique family experience! Take in a women’s basketball game at the legendary MSG - right in heart of the city, while the team hosts special events all-season long like, Show up for Daughters day and Back To School night, making game day super fun for young and old fans alike. A Liberty game also means you get see everyone’s favorite loveable dog, Maddie! She’s the team mascot and definitely a crowd pleaser with her dance moves and on-court antics.
We had the pleasure attending a Liberty game this week and it was an absolute delight. Trust me, we’ve been to our share of sports games and my husband and I both agree that the NY Liberty intro is hands down one of the best in the game. It’s the perfect tip-off (pun intended) to the night and awesome way to start the game. Through-out the game they also do a great job of entertaining the crowd with plenty of performers and games, and we even walked away with Liberty t-shirts Tuesday for their Fan Appreciation night. Score!
But the most important part of Tuesday night was of course my daughter’s 11th birthday, and knowing she had a great night made the day even sweeter. I wish we would’ve won, but we can still root on the New York Liberty as they enter the 2016 Playoffs! Game 1 is on September 24th. Let’s go Liberty!
Here are some hightlights from our night.
Big thanks to NY Liberty for providing me media tickets for review purposes.
