If you’re in the east coast, chances are you’ll be snowed-in this weekend. Which means you’re probably already setup a date with Netflix, or perhaps a good book, but one thing is for sure - you’ll have plenty of downtime, so why not get in some much needed beauty treatments, like an at-home mani!
If we’re on the same page, perhaps you would like to hear about Chrome Girl, a new nail polish line I came across and have been super impressed with! They offer a great collection of nail lacquers and treatments that are all vegan, 8-free formula, which means it is produced without: Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalates, Camphor, Xylene, Acetone, Silicone. Another bonus? It’s made right here in the USA!
The collection made its debut at the 2013 Oscars, and was worn by Jennifer Hudson. It continues to be a favorite of many of today’s top celebrities including Emily Deschanel, Anna Sophia Robb, Julianne Hough and many more.
What I love about their polishes is that they boast some of the hottest colors including Like a Boss, Lazy Daze, Malibu Chill, How Merlot Can You Go, and Deja Blue – all of which whom I have tried and would definitely recommend. Their base coat and top coat also does an excellent job of not only giving the lacquers a great shine but a long-lasting seal. I wore ‘Like a Boss” for two weeks (!!!) without any major chips, which is AMAZING in my world.
Not a fan of regular nail polish remover? They have something for that too! Chrome Girl created a line of nail polish remover pads that smell like Apple Spice and plus have NO Acetone and Parabens! The downside: You have to use a lot of the pads to really scrub off the polish (think – one pad for each nail.)
Chrome Girl is distributed on HSN and sold at top beauty stores such as Planet Beauty. It can be found online at www.chromegirl.com. Products range from $12-$15.
