No Shame In My Instagram Game

A few days ago I took one of those online quizzes to see what my Instagram says about me. (My profile is @jennymoyett, if you want to follow along.) I, like many of you am obsessed with picture-sharing app. In fact, it’s my go-to distraction surpassing Facebook, or Twitter on my phone. Yet, I sometimes struggle with what to share and what to keep private. Especially as a blogger I feel to the pressure to keep up with the Joneses if you will, and constantly share content and pieces of my life. Yet, I don’t want to oversaturate or overexpose myself or my family. It’s a constant struggle.

Does anyone else feel like that?

Anyway, the results from the quiz revealed that I am an “Introspective Philosopher”. I question whether or not I should post something, and don’t feel the need to share something if it has no meaning. Which pretty much hits the nail on the head, if you ask me. But I also think who we follow also says a lot about who we are too.

My Instagram feed is made up of a small percentage of friends and family, (the ones who actually use IG), a majority of bloggers whom I admire (@wendyslookbook, @juliahengel, @jessica_kane, etc.), a few celebrities I stalk (@sarahjessicaparker, @reesewitherspoon, @evamendes, etc), and a random mix of doggy profiles, architectural treasures, and fashion mags. The most random one being the U.S. Department of Interior, (@USINTERIOR). I know, I know…. it sounds dorky. But if you know me, you know I love me some landscape photography. And this account shares the most AH-MAZING pictures and sights that will just fill you with patriotic pride, no joke. If you’re a photography aficionado I HIGHLY recommend you start following it, like now.

So what does your Instagram say about you?
