2015 Golden Globes Best Dessed List

You know what today is, don’t you? It’s Monday. But not just any Monday, its post-Golden Globes Monday! That means a re-cap of last night’s Golden Globes red carpet looks are in order! This year I was feeling a bit under the weather so I stayed in bed and watched THE ENTIRE coverage from beginning to end. I don’t know if it was the medication or what, but I actually enjoyed the whole show for once – Bill Cosby jokes and all! Speaking of which, I think Tina and Amy should host everything. Period.

As far as the fashion is concern, the celebs did not disappoint last night. Arianna even watched some of the red carpet coverage with me and had lots to say about it, so I thought it would be fun to add her commentary as well. So without further ado, here are our picks for best dressed of the night.

Hot Mamas – Jennifer Lopez and Kate Hudson

You betta WERK JLO! This woman is 40-freaking-5 years old and she SLAYED the red carpet yesterday! Her Zuhair Murad cape dress is over-the-top and fabulous. It also looks like something Ginger from Casino would wear, which kinda makes me love it even more.

Kate Hudson gave JLO a run for her money in her plunging white Versace gown. It’s sexy without being too vulgar. And seriously though, could her body be any more amazing?

Fashion Risk Takers – Emma Stone and Allison Williams

Talk about taking a risk! Emma Stone wore a Lanvin jumpsuit to the red carpet. A jumpsuit! God, I love her. And not only does it have a beautiful beaded bodice but ALSO a floor-length sash. I mean, perfection.

Allison Williams is the only GIRLS cast member I take seriously anymore. I’ve completely given up on Lena Dunham and Zosia Mamet fashion choices. Allison however has become somewhat a fashion darling over the last few years and never disappoints with her selections. This strapless tiered Giorgio Armani gown is no exception.

Glamour Girls – Jessica Chastain and Kate Beckinsale

Wowza! Jessica Chastain has never looked this good. She looked like a total glamazon in this Atelier Versace dress. And can we talk about kind of brassiere/sticky cutlet situation she’s working with here? I need it ASAP!

Kate Beckinsale can do no wrong in my books. She’s always beautiful and classy. Her Elie Saab dress is as radiant and chic as she is. The end.

Best Couple – Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber

Although I admit that I’m not as in love with Naomi Watts canary Gucci dress as everyone else is, I will say that together with her husband Liev Schreiber, they exuded Hollywood glamour and looked like a total power couple walking the red carpet.

Arianna’s Best Picks – Anna Kendrik and Kerry Washington

Anna Kendrik’s Monique Lhuillier gown looked like something out of a fairytale which is probably why my 9 year old loved it. She said she loved the beaded details and the floor-length tulle. "Very, Very Pretty" in her opinion.

Kerry Washington combined her three loves a Pink, Purple, and Ball Gowns. Basically, it was an open and shut case for her. She didn’t even seem to mind the length as much as I did, and said I knew nothing about fashion. LOL! Well there you go…

Who were your best dressed of the night?

  1. I didn't watch the entire red carpet coverage but I did watch most of the show. I love Tina and Amy, hilarious! I was not impressed with the red carpet fashion. I loved Kate Hudson and Salma Hayek. I love JLo and she always looks amazing but this was not one of her best in my opinion. I didn't like the "wings" on the dress but her body and face looked gorge!

  2. What a beautiful recap my dear … of such a breathtaking evening! I couldn't agree more with your top choices!

Thanks for leaving me a comment! I always make time to read each and every one. ♥
