Quick n' Easy Turkey Sausage Tostada (#JDCRUMBLES)

I am no chef by any means, but I do cook for my family often. I like making simple tasty meals that don't require a ton of ingredients, or spending hours in the kitchen. So when Jimmy Dean challenged me to come up with a recipe using their Turkey Sausage Crumbles - I felt totally confident that I can come up with something that was quick and easy. And so my Turkey Sausage Tostada was born!

Ingredients:
  • Pre-Packaged Tostadas
  • Jimmy Dean Hearty Turkey Sausage Crumbles
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Eggs
  • Onion
  • Tomato
  • Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • Cilantro
  • Avocado

Start off by drizzling a little bit of olive oil in a skillet, and add onions and turkey sausage crumbles. Let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes and add eggs. Use as many eggs you need depending how much sausage crumbles you put in. (I used 4 eggs.) Salt and Pepper to taste. Once the eggs are just about done, add your tomato. (This is just a personal preference because I like my tomatoes to still have a bite, and not taste fully cooked.)

Scoop the egg mixture on to the pre-made tostadas and sprinkle on the shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Place your tostadas on a baking sheet and place in a pre-heated oven at 325 for about 2 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted.

After the oven, plate the tostadas and top them off with a dollop of sour cream, cilantro, and avocados. (All which are optional.) Enjoy!
