Grey Matters.

Jason and I agree on a lot of things, but our design aesthetic is not one of them. He's into dark woods and an old world feel, where I am more - light and airy with a modern twist. These two looks couldn't be further apart but somehow we've made it work over the years.

However, our differences have resurfaced yet again with talks of buying a new sofa for our living room. Although I love our current sofa, I agree that a light colored couch may have been a bad choice for us - especially with a dog and child. But I can't help but cringe at the thought that he might want a chocolate brown leather recliner or something else that looks like it would belong in a mens lounge or college dorm. So to beat him to the punch I started researching some options where any good designer would - Pinterest. (Haha!)

I stumbled across a few design inspirations that I really loved and think might meet both our needs. I suggested to him that we go for a grey couch - and to my surprise he was fairly receptive to the idea! Now it's just up to me to find some accessories that will liven up the room and make it bright and airy. (Just don't tell Jason!)

Have you made any compromises
in your home for your partner too?

  1. I love the second one! My hubby and I are always discussing design for the home and it is about 50/50 when it comes to agreeing. Happy sofa shopping!

Thanks for leaving me a comment! I always make time to read each and every one. ♥
