2012 Golden Globes Red Carpet Showdown.

Hello lovelies! I hope you are all enjoying this long weekend to the fullest! Like many of you I enjoyed watching (and tweeting) about the Golden Globes last night. Of course the awards were a total snoozefest, but red carpet was a fashion showdown as always. So let's recap it shall we?

Blushing Beauties
Jessica Alba looked lovely and demure in Gucci, but what sold me on this dress was when she walked on stage and it had a total sparkle moment. Sigh. Sarah Hyland looked ridiculously glam for her age in Dolce & Gabbana. Kate Beckinsale rocked my world in Roberto Cavalli. And finally Elle Macpherson looked a little wedding-y, but still gorgeous in a tulle-skirted Zac Posen gown.

Jewel Tones
Paula Patton looked beyond in her bright yellow Monique Lhuillier gown. Reese Witherspoon was wurking that Zac Posen dress (in total Jessica Rabbit style might I add.) Sofia Vergara showed off the total bombshell that she is in a skin-tight Vera Wang. And Emma Stone continues her reign as fashion diva in her two-tone Lanvin gown.

Timeless Beauties
It doesn't get classier than this, ladies. Diane Lane in Reem Acra and Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka. These two deserve a freaking standing ovation. Bravo ladies.

Best Dressed
My 2 favorite looks of the night were Charlize Theron who looked ethereal in Dior and Salma Hayek in an art deco inspired Gucci gown. These 2 got very mixed reviews, but I happened to love both. ♥

P.S. I need to dye my hair like this STAT.

Disappointments
I know I may be alone on this one but I totally hated Rooney Mara's look. The dress. The hair. I'm not feeling it.

I don't know what's going on with Kelly Osbourne. She was having such a good fashion streak and then she pulls this on me. Not cute.

Worst Dressed
WTF is this?? No Seriously. What is this??! Piper Perabo got herself a first class ticket on the crazy train in this Theyskens Theory sheer mess.

A lot of people are applauding Sarah Michelle Gellar for her daring fashion choice. I'm not one of them. It looks like a pen exploded on her, and then she said that her 2 yr old picked the dress. Suuuure, blame it on the 2 yr old.

Who were your faves and least faves?

    1. Kate Beckinsale was my hubby's fave. (Although I don't think it had anything to do with the dress.) Ha!
