Rachel Zoe's Baby Closet, It's Major.

It's pretty absurd to be jealous of a 4month old's closet--but not everyone has a closet like Rachel Zoe's son Skylar. This baby nursery is decked out in luxe footwear, custom-made Missoni sweaters and his very own Gucci leather bomber jacket! (OMG. Do you die? I Die.)

ABC news gave us a peek into Rachel's life and home and even broke news when Rachel revealed she has a children's clothing line in the works--with plenty of cute boy clothes. Can you imagine?! Now that's major!

It's A Wine Party For Duri Fall 2011!

This September Duri Cosmetics will release their Fall 2011 shades entitled Wine Tasting Party Collection. This collection features flavorful colors from warm plums to shimmery violets, to deep garnets and shades of red--all meant to embody the robust flavors of fall!

Left to right:
  • (561) Cognac XO
  • (562) Bloody Mary
  • (563) Pinot Noir
  • (564) Cabernet Sauvignon
  • (566) Dragontini
  • (567) Grape Swirl

I've been a bit of a purple craze lately, so I was all for trying out Dragontini and Grape Swirl. Just by looking at them I thought I was going to like Dragontini better, but after trying them both on, I was surprised at how much I liked Grape Swirl!

Grape Swirl is more of a grayish shade with just a hint of purple (which I love for fall) and Dragontini is a dark plum with a hint of red (which I would probably wear year round.) What do you think?

Duri's Wine Tasting Party collection will be available at www.duri.com and will be priced at just $5 each!

Which color do you like best?

My Interview With Jessica Alba, yes THAT Jessica Alba.

Recently Jessica Alba took the time to talk to a few bloggers including myself about her upcoming movie (Spy Kids: All the time in the world in 4D), family life, and personal style. I'm not gonna lie. I was extremely excited to get the opportunity to chat with her and was even more delighted to find out first hand how sweet and candid she is! She took her time to answer each and every question and even managed to get a few giggles out of us.

In Spy Kids: All the time in the world in 4D Jessica plays a retired secret agent that is called back to duty when the evil Timekeeper played by Jeremy Piven threatens to take over the world.

On the surface, Marissa Cortez Wilson (Jessica Alba) has it all...married to a famous spy hunting television reporter, a new baby and intelligent twin step kids. But in reality, trying to mother Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook), who clearly don’t want her around, is her toughest challenge yet. Also, her husband, Wilbur (Joel McHale), wouldn’t know a spy if he lived with one which is exactly the case - Marissa’s a retired secret agent.

Marissa’s world is turned upside down when the maniacal Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) threatens to take over the planet and she’s called back into action by the head of OSS, home of the greatest spies and where the now-defunct Spy Kids division was created. With Armageddon quickly approaching, Rebecca and Cecil are thrust into action when they learn their boring stepmom was once a top agent and now the world’s most competitive ten year olds are forced to put their bickering aside and rely on their wits. With a little help from a couple of very familiar Spy Kids, Carmen (Alexa Vega) and Juni Cortez (Daryl Sabara), and some mind-blowing gadgets, they just may be able to save the world and possibly bring their family together while they’re at it.

Here's what the lovely Jessica Alba had to say.

On filming the first 4D film and what audiences can expect from it:

(Laughs) Well, we really didn't know that it was going to be 4D when we were shooting it, so that sorta came after the fact. I think it's a great/fun element to add to the film for kids. It's a kids movie and we all know that kids are used to interacting with their entertainment, especially with their iPhones or iPads and stuff like that, and so this is for that next generation kids that are used to that interaction and they can participate in the film in a way that you never could before. So like 8 times during the film they have a number that pops up and they have a scratch and sniff card and the kids can scratch and smell what we're smelling in the movie to feel more a part of the experience.

On her favorite scene to film:

I liked the scenes when I was going into labor because in the film I play a spy and I'm hiding it from my husband who's an interior decorator, so I'm in my last mission and I go into labor and I think that was a lot of the fun because I got to do a little bit of action, which I haven't done since Dark Angel and I miss doing action, but then again there was a lot of comedy because I obviously was supposed to be having contractions during the sequence--so that was funny and fun to play.

On balancing motherhood:

I don't work as much as I used to so that's definitely helped for me as far as prioritizing my time and on the weekends my husband and I made an agreement that when we're with our daughter--it's pure family time. No blackberries, no emails, no texting. Just trying to give her as much attention as humanly possible.

On her role-models:

Well my mother and my grandmother were my examples growing up and they always made us kids feel like we were priority and number one no matter if they were working or busy. You know my mom, especially in the beginning of my life-before I started acting, she would work sometimes 3 jobs, but always managed to make my brother and I feel like we were number one. You know, I think whether or not you have a job that you can stay at home or you have a job that you can't and you have to be away and have to travel a lot--you should take the time for your kids and remind them that they're a priority.

On what her family does for fun:

Umm. We're pretty boring. (laughs) We don't go on adventures and save the world or anything. No, we like to swimming or go to the park. We'll do whatever my daughter wants to do, so we'll play dress-up, but usually swimming is a big deal--especially this summer.

On her favorite go-to snack for her 3 year old:

Well she's picky so that's always fun. She like's eating fruit, so I'll give her grapes or an apple which is a big deal because she's a big girl now--so she can have a whole apple, or she can have a pear, or a peach which is messy but it keeps her occupied for a little bit (laughs) but she likes that she can have a big girl fruit now.

On her daughter's favorite meal:

I feel like everything. My daughter is a real good eater. It depends on whether not she changes her mind like 40 different times before dinner. Umm, gosh--she likes chicken and rice and vegetables. She loves my husbands tacos. He makes some really good tacos. She's pretty good at eating anything.

On her 2nd pregnancy and how it's different from her first:

I have this fierce insatiable craving for watermelon. (laughs) Which I really didn't have with my first. I mean, I wanted watermelon but not quite like this. I'm moving around a lot more, but I feel like my belly popped out much quicker and I feel pain differently. I don't remember feeling these pains before, but my doctor said that my body has been through this before so it's doing things in a more rapid motion, so it's interesting. (laughs)

On finding it difficult to get around with her daughter while she's pregnant:

Yeah, there's definitely a stage where I can't really pick her up anymore. I mean, I will if she's obviously freaking out--I'll throw her on my hip, but I'll be suffering for the rest of the day if I do that and my sciatic is not prepared for hoisting a 3 year old on my hip with the belly (laughs) and then I start getting these contractions when I'm holding her, but then I feel bad because I want to hold her! So we do cuddle time when I'm sitting down.

On me loving her personal style and how it's evolved since becoming a mom:

Well, thank you first of all. Obviously when I'm pregnant is one thing, but I'm pretty conservative. I've never been someone who let's everything kinda hang out. When I was younger I feel like I was even more conservative. I used to dress like a tomboy and after I had my daughter I'm definitely a little more daring with fashion. I never wore shorts or a skirt that went above my knee before I was 27--I don't know I just wasn't comfortable with it, and then when I had my daughter I was like--you know what, I have a kid, it's fine. (laughs) Life is short.

On living her dream when there is only so much time in the day:

I just try to live in the moment as humanly possible and when I find that when I'm not trying to live for tomorrow and I don't know what's to come and I'm really enjoying what's happening right now--I feel like that's always my best day and when I feel like I'm living the dream. The few times I get to pamper myself I'll get my nails done or something like that or get a facial and that feels really nice.

On transitioning from a child star and encouraging or discouraging her kids to follow in her foot-steps:

Well I think as far as the transition goes, I started when I was 12, but I really didn't have the exposure and people really didn't know who I was until I was an adult and when I was on a TV show called Dark Angel, so that helped--being known as an adult versus a kid. And then if I would encourage my kids? Oh God. (laughs) You know after they're done with college, they can do whatever they want, I would support them. They have the luxury of getting an education and grow up differently than I did, and if they want to get into the arts that's only going to make them more dynamic as artists--the more life experiences they have to bring into the work, so whatever they want to do at the end of the day--I'm all for it, after they finish college.

Michael Kors Debuts Fall 2011 Jewelry Collection.

Michael Kors has teamed up with Fossil, (the same brand he collaborated with for his watch line) to roll out his new jewelry collection for Fall 2011 in August.

This line of earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings feature chain and buckle details throughout and will be available at an affordable price range. ($45-$395)

"I’ve always thought of accessories as the exclamation point of a woman’s outfit," Kors says. "Now, with my jewelry collection, I can deliver the full spectrum of the Michael Kors vision for a truly fabulous look."

But the problem is that this collection leaves me feeling a bit underwhelmed. Besides a few statement rings I think the collection is a bit of a snoozefest. There's a difference between designing classic jewelry and designing pieces that you can find at a local kiosk and slapping an MK on it. What do you think?

Beauty Tip Of The Day: Honey, Your Skin's BFF.

Who knew the honey sitting in your kitchen cabinet was your best resource for fighting skin care woes like pimples and dry skin? It's true -- honey facial mask recipes have been used by generations of the most beauty astute women because honey moisturizes skin naturally, and it is a natural bacteria fighter for stubborn pimples. Honey also happens to be a great resource for those with sensitive skin who might have negative reactions to ingredient-loaded beauty products, and it is packed with antioxidants for those looking to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on your face.

Here are a couple ways you can use nature's sweetest resource:

Honey Facial Mask Recipe for Dry, Flaky Skin

Ingredients:
1 raw egg
1 tablespoon honey

Directions:
Mix together egg and honey. Spread onto your face and neck and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse well with tepid water.

Honey Facial Mask Recipe for Acne

Simply apply a scoop of honey to clean skin and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

To use honey as a spot treatment on pimples you picked at, put a drop of honey on your finger and gently pat it onto the infected area before bed. Cover overnight with a bandage. The honey will keep your skin and the oozing area sterile by fighting off bacteria. And as a bonus it will accelerate the healing process.

Rio DVD Giveaway!! --CLOSED.

Rio has got to be one of my favorite kids movies to come out in a long time. It's a fun family movie with bright burst of colors and tropical booty shaking music. It's really a fun wholesome time for the entire family. In fact my daughter and I find ourselves having dance-offs to the music often. (I'm not gonna say who wins--but just know that this mama has some moves on her.)

If you are not familiar with the movie here's a little synopsis:

Rio tells the story of Blu (Jesse Eisenberg), a Spix Macaw who is captured from his native homelands of Brazil at a young age to be domesticated thousand of miles away with his human owner Linda. His new owner soon discovers that he is the last male of his kind, and with that , the two head south to Rio de Janeiro to meet Blu's new mate. However, it is nowhere near close to love at first sight between the socially awkward, flight challenged Blu and the strong and independent extreme flying female Jewel (Anne Hathaway). Shortly after Blu's arrival, greedy animal smugglers capture the two rare birds and they soon find themselves helplessly lost in the Brazilian rainforest. Unexpectedly thrown together they embark on a hysterical and endearing adventure where they learn about friendship, love, courage and spreading ones wings to fly.

The creators of ICE AGE bring audiences a whole new tropical adventure in RIO featuring the most colorful cast of characters south of the Equator, including George Lopez (Beverly Hills Chihuahua), Tracy Morgan ("30 Rock"), Jemaine Clement (Despicable Me), Rodrigo Santoro (Che), will.i.am (Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa), Jamie Foxx (Dreamgirls), Jane Lynch "Glee"), & Wanda Sykes(Over The Hedge).

I remember taking my daughter to see it opening night and we said we couldn't wait for this movie to come out on DVD--and now that time is (almost) here!

Celeb Looks--Emma, Zoe, Carey, Charlize, and Selita. {Yay or Nay?}

Happy Sunday, my little chickadees! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far.

Are you ready for another round of celebrity fashion? I must warn you--this week's fashion left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. There were a lot of bad fashion choices and not too many good ones to choose from, but let's get started any way!

I'm crushin' hard on Emma Stone right now. I love her red hair and pale skin, and when she wore that simple Calvin Klein dress at the Golden Globes this year--I just about died.

This week she wore a green lace Dolce & Gabbana sheath dress with leopard Brian Atwood pumps to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

It's not one of my favorite looks, but I do like how the colors play off her pale skin and also how she can manage to make a lace dress look edgy. Yay for me.

Carey Mulligan wore a belly-baring Roksanda Ilincic dress at a party at the Hard Rock San Diego, for Comic-Con.

Although this is about as daring as I've seen Carey dress--I still don't like it. Why the open slits? I don't get it. This dress would have looked better without any cut-outs and maybe a shorter hemline. Nay for me.

Also at Comic-Con was Charlize Theron who looked so downtown chic in a tailored blazer, sparkly top, and Lanvin wedges. I love this look. She looks so effortlessly cool--and I'm kinda lovin' that she decided to dress casually for the event. Yay.

Selita Ebanks wore this catastrophe of a dress by Christian Cota, but get this--the worst part is that it was for a Children of The City Gala!

Why anyone would wear this to an event to benefit children is beyond me. Nay.

Zoe Saldana is one to have fun with fashion--and that's the case with this Balmain tribal suit at the Captain America premiere.

On anyone else this outfit would look ridiculous, but somehow Zoe pulls it off, and looks damn cool in it too. Yay for me.

Do you agree/disagree?
Let me know!
