Back-To-School Shopping With T.J. Maxx/Marshalls.

A few days ago I hit up my local T.J. Maxx for some back to school bargains for my daughter. Although I bought most of her school wardrobe while I was in New York last month, I might be part of the 60% of moms who wait only a few short weeks to do their back-to-school shopping--because I completely underestimated the amount of clothes she needs for Kindergarten! (HA!)

The good news about shopping somewhere like T.J. Maxx and Marshalls is that they offer name brands and designer merchandise at 20-60% less! So you never have to worry about breaking the bank. It's like this: at off-price retailers a $19.99 backpack was made by a designer to sell for $40.00 or more, while at a discount retailer, a $19.99 backpack is made to sell at that price!

I was always one to think that shopping at T.J. Maxx or Marshalls meant getting a good deal, but wearing last seasons clothes--and that's just not the case! Their buyers work directly with designers right up until the last minute of every season to bring us the right fashion at the right time. Aisles are filled with this seasons fall must-haves and I was able to score this adorable pink belted cardigan for my daughter!

I also found 2 cute Hello Kitty shirts for $7!! Which is fantastic because she's been a little Hello Kitty obsessed lately. But my favorite find has to be this black and gray sweater dress--that is just too cute for words! She'll definitely be rocking this puppy with some booties once the weather starts to cool down a bit.

Then after temporarily being distracted by some fabulous shoes (yes, she's a girl after my own heart) we found an outfit that she loved so much she wanted to wear it for her birthday. Can you tell by that face how much she liked it? :)

Overall we got the bargain of a century for all her clothes and I can't wait to go back! My inside tip for you lovelies would be to go back often. The nice manager we chatted up said that every week they get new items to restock the shelves, so checking back every week will get you a lot of bang for your buck.

If you're a die-hard T.J. Maxx and Marshalls shopper, telling Mom Central your BEST back-to-school find will give you a chance to win 1 out 3 $100 gift card! Hurry giveaway ends 9/23/11.

Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of T.J.Maxx and Marshalls and received a gift card to facilitate my review and thank me for taking the time to participate.”

  1. OMG - she is so adorable in that sweater and I love the shot of her in the mirror. I used to shop at TJ Maxx all the time; haven't been in ages but I there is a Marshalls nearby and I think I'll stop by this weekend. We all deserve a back to school treat ;)

  2. I love your blog you always have the best post.

  3. We don't have one here, but I a.ways seethe TV ads. Sounds like you got some great deals.

Thanks for leaving me a comment! I always make time to read each and every one. ♥
