2 Good Reads For Kids.

Every summer I enroll Arianna into a reading program. She gets prizes, attends story-time and does fun crafts with kids her age, but most importantly it instills in her a love of reading from an early age--and what parent doesn't love that?

This week we stumbled upon 2 books that I thought were really special and taught valuable lessons.

1. Buzzy the Bumblebee by Denise Brennan-Nelson

This is a wonderful little story about a bumblebee who believes he can't fly after reading that bumblebees are meant to fly. This book teaches kids to believe in themselves and not allow what others say affect you what you can accomplish in life.

2. The Sunflower Sword by Mark Sperring

This is a charming little tale about a little knight who wants to slay dragons with a sword, but his mom gives him a sunflower instead. It's a cute little story that teaches kids to kill 'em with kindness and make peace not war.

What books do you recommend?

  1. Buzzy the Bumblebee is fun and sends a powerful message to children about trusting your heart and not letting fear get in the way of doing things you know in your heart YOU CAN DO! My children adore this book too.

Thanks for leaving me a comment! I always make time to read each and every one. ♥
