Anne Hathaway's Blue Carpet Look. Yay or Nay?

Anne Hathaway attended a special screening for her new kids movie, Rio, (which I'm dying to see btw) in this cropped Marni top and ruffle-edge pants, with Casadei wedge sandals.

Well, at least you can't say she's afraid to mix patterns, right? Unfortunately, I think this is a horrible example of how to play with patterns. I know her regular stylist is Rachel Zoe, but let's hope that Rachel is on maternity leave or that she can blame this on pregnancy hormones--because this is just a fashion crime.

  1. Separately, I love the shoes and the pants, but not together. The top's not doing it for me, though. :)

  2. You're right. Separately they might look better. I love the shoes, but the top and pants I can do without. ;)

  3. I think if the pants didn't have all these raffles she might have pulled it off. It was daring but miscalculated attempt. Separately top and pants are not much of anything and paired with something sensible and solid would be downright boring. Though I am thinking crisp, white button down tucked in, skinny bright belt would have saved these pants.

Thanks for leaving me a comment! I always make time to read each and every one. ♥
