Fashion Things To Look Foward To In 2011.

It's going to be a great year. I know it. I can feel it.

If you still need a little convincing though,
here are some things to look forward to in the world of fashion.

  • Karl Lagerfeld will be designing a mass market Fall 2011 capsule collection for Macy’s.
  • Ports 1961 will launch their menswear collection, both in Fall 2011. In addition, Ports 1961 is opening stand alone men's stores, in either New York, Paris, or Milan.
  • Sex and the City writer and producer Michael Patrick King is working on a new TV show. It's scheduled to appear on CBS, and it's called, Two Broke Girls, described as "a more realistic take on living in New York City."
  • Matthew Williamson, who collaborated on a limited-edition capsule collection for H&M a while back, will launch his own diffusion line called Muse by Matthew Williamson in Fall 2011.
  • Victoria Beckham will team up with Brian Atwood on two pairs of Spring 2011 shoes. One is a take on Atwood’s “Maniac” pump; Beckham's Rolex watch inspired a revamping of the heel in rose gold. The other pair, called “Zenith”, is the same style, but with an ankle strap
  • After ten years at French Vogue, Carine Roitfeld will leave her post at the end of January. What will a post-Roitfeld French Vogue be like? We shall see come early 2011.
