Got2B inPlay Sculpting Paste {Review}

Alright ladies listen up, if your man is looking for a new styling product you might want to check out Got2B's inPlay Sculpting Paste.

It promises to "easily mold and shape that messy look. Twist and turn your hair all you want, with the paste's rough finish it will always look like you didn't even spend time on it. You're the artist, create your masterpiece."

Thanks to Got2B and BuzzAgent my brother got to try it out (since my hubby's hair is too short to style).

PROS:

1. The smell. It's strong, but smells good. It's a very "masculine" smell that most men would enjoy. My brother actually mentioned that his girlfriend loves how the sculpting paste smells when he puts it on.
2. Staying Power. If you're looking for a product to hold your hair in place all day--you just found it. This sucker will make your hair stay put, in fact my brother says that when he wakes up the NEXT DAY his hair is STILL styled!
3. Packaging. It comes in is a small plastic container resembling a deck of cards.

CONS:

1. The Consistency. The paste takes a bit to get use to because it's very thick and sticky. If you put on too much on it becomes very tacky and leaves your hair with a white residue that you have to work out to get rid of.

Overall my brother really liked this product. He thought that the staying power out weighs any cons that it had and would definitely purchase it again.

Overall Rating: 4 out 5
Price: $5-7 (depending on where you buy)

Emmy's 2010 Red Carpet Fashion.

WELL--this year sucked didn't it?? I was a little let down with this year's fashion. I was waiting for that "WOW" moment that never came. As far as the actual show--I can't tell ya, cuz I don't watch them. They're always long and boring and the best part is always the red carpet anyway so who cares, right?

So, did you have a favorite?

Here are the ladies (and man) I think stood out of the bunch.

THE STANDOUTS:

Eva Longoria Parker in Robert Rodriguez. She looks great but I've seen this look on her before--long strapless back gown. *yawn* I wish she would have tried something different.

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta. I've mentioned before that I really loving this girl's style. She's young, but her style goes way beyond her years. I think I'm developing a girl crush...

Claire Danes in Armani Prive. This dress fits her like a glove! It's simple. It's classic. I wish she would have accessorized a little better but she still looks like a million bucks.

Kyra Sedgwick in Monique Lhuiller. The dress is gorgeous but the hair is killing me! What was she thinking pairing that hair with that dress! Ugh. She's still one of the best dressed though.

PRETTY...BUT:

Hiedi Klum in Marchesa. Pretty, but waaaay too short. Forget a nip slip she's two seconds away from showing us ALL her goodies.

Kim Kardashian in Marchesa. Pretty, but I've seen in her in THOUSANDS of white Grecian dresses. She needs to try something new. I'm over it.

BEST DRESSED MAN:

Jon Hamm in Giorgio Armani. How dreamy is he in his sharply fitted tux? :) You can't get better than that ladies and gentleman.

WORST DRESSED:

Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta. Ummm..I didn't know Hieroglyphics were in this season??

Mindy Kaling in Aguri Sagimon. WTF?!? Ugh. the hair, the dress, what a total train wreck.

WORST HAIR:

Rose Bryne gets the award for best Bride of Frankenstein impersonation.

Lo Bosworth. Let's forget the fact that she actually got invited. THIS is how you show up to the Emmy's??

So what do you think of my list. Do agree/disagree. Who were some of your picks. Let me know!

Squinkies Review.

Listen up parents, I have a toy that your daughters will go gaga for! Squinkies are a tiny, soft, squishy toys that come in a bubble and can be collected and used in playsets, bracelets/rings, or even pencils.

Squinkies was kind enough to send me the Cupcake Surprize Bake Shop for my daughter and oh. my. word. did she looove it! I'm talking HOURS of fun people.

The Cupcake Surprize Bake Shop comes with it's own squinkies but also accessories such a table, chairs, bed, and even food to play with!

Since each Squinkie comes in a bubble the top of the cupcake shop is like a gumball machine. All you have to do is remove the cherry to insert all the squinkies for easy storage! Want to take them out? The Cupcake Shop comes with two coins that when inserted drop down a squinkie!

So, what's my verdict on Squinkies? My daughter literally comes home from school everyday and asks me if she can play with her Squnkies shop.....so what do you think. :)

Squinkies can be found at Toys R Us, Target, Wal-mart, and Amazon.

To find out more information about Squinkies go to www.squinkies.com or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Overall Rating: 4.9 out 5

Stella & Dot Fall Line & Giveaway!!--CLOSED

Hello my lovelies,

I have a guest blogger today on Babblings of a Mommy--Laura Stenovec, and lucky for you she's a Senior Stylist for one of our favorite online jewelry boutiques, Stella & Dot!

She's here to give you some of her own personal fashion tips from the Stella & Dot fall line as well as providing a special surprise for one of my lucky readers!!

Dying to find out more?!? I know you are, so just keep reading....

Fall is right around the corner and the department stores are brimming with Fall fashions. I dont know about you, but this year Im not feeling like I have extra money to spend updating my wardrobe with the latest and greatest especially when a lot of these items wont be in style next year. Maybe the clothing trends of over the knee boots, jewel tone dresses and leather jackets arent very practical for your every day routine and budget either. Stella & Dot, though, can provide you with some fabulous, budget-friendly ideas to jazz up your wardrobe.

Charm Necklace or Bracelet

Whether you are showing off your childrens birthstones or your own personal style, a charm necklace or bracelet is an excellent addition to your wardrobe.

The also make fabulous giftswouldnt grandma love a necklace with her grandchildrens birthstones?

Best of all, once you have the necklace it is easy to add to it without spending too much money. I just added this whimsical leaf to mine.

Statement Necklace

If I am going to buy a statement necklace I want one that I can wear with jeans and one that I can wear dressed up. Meet Chloe and Claire at $49 each these pieces certainly fit the bill. I love adding the Sasha Flower Brooch of the Claire Necklace.

Want to splurge? This Metropolitan Mixed Chain Necklace is gorgeous. I wear it with everything from jeans and a black t-shirt to a little black dress.

Layering

Layering is great for a variety of reasons. Versatility is key when you are shopping on a budget and its great when you can layer your pieces to create different and new looks.

The Penelope Necklace looks great with the Gabrielle Citrine Necklace. I like this look with a cardigan sweater or anything with a v-neck. The Penelope Necklace looks great alone with anything. I throw it on with my yoga pants when Im running around town and dont have time to get dressed.

My moms favorite layering pieces are the Signature Dot Disk Necklace with the Charmed Life Necklace The Signature Dot Disk Necklace also looks great with the Starfish Necklace. The Signature Dot Disk Necklace can be worn long or short with these pieces, which just adds to its versatility. These pieces can be worn with absolutely anything.

Symbol

Symbols are all the rage this season. I just cant get enough of our Liv Multi Charm Necklace. I also love our Clover Key Necklace. The two look great layered together.

Owl Charm Pendant Necklace is adorable and has been extremely popular (it also looks great layered with our Gabrielle Citrine Necklace.

For the past year I have had customers ask me for a Bee Necklace. I never knew those pesky little things that sting you would be so desirable in the form of a necklace!

Stackable Bracelets

I love stacking bracelets. An armful of bracelets can take an outfit from drab to glam in a second. Below are some of the bracelets I like to stack.

Baby Flower Bangle

Signature Clover Bangle

Devi Bangles

Mira Bangles

Soiree Pearl Pave Bracelets (my favorite combination are the Champagne and Brown)

Vintage Twist Bracelets. I love wearing both the gold and silver together and stacking them with the Devi Bangles.

Drew Barrymore's Look. Yay or Nay? {Again}

Drew is still out and about promoting her new movie, Going the Distance, and this time she stopped in for an interview on The Late Night Show with David Letterman wearing a Richard Chai top, Camilla and Marc trousers, and YSL pumps.

Thank GOD her stylist pulled it together! Remember this catastrophe? Drew is such a GORGEOUS girl and this outfit definitely does her right. Bellissima!

Reese Witherspoon's Look for Less!

I highly doubt that there's a single item in Reese's closet that I would-not-like. I adore this girl's laid back, feminine style. She never disappoints in my book. Even if it's just to run an errand this chick is just full of fabulousness. Like her look? I did a look for less version! Here's the breakdown:

Shirt Dress-$32 (Charlotte Russe)
Satin Trim Fedora-$19.50 (Arden B.)
Woven Belt-$39 (Ralph Lauren)
Metallic Thong Sandal-$34.90 (Lori's)

Designer Band-Aids?? {Cynthia Rowley Band-aids}

First diapers, now band-aids. It looks like Cynthia Rowley not only wants to take over our closets but our drawers too! She has released a limited-edition collection for Band-Aid which includes 20 assorted bandages including bows, sparkles, and sequins. The tin retails for $10, which is a little steep for band-aids but, One dollar of the sale will go to Design Ignites Change, an organization that engages high school and college students in design and architectural projects that address social issues in their own communities. Go to www.cynthiarowley.com to purchase.

What do you think of her band-aids? Are they worth the price? Do you like her designs? Let me know!

First Day of Pre-K.

These past few days have been C-R-A-Z-Y. I had to gather a few last minute things for Arianna's first day of school and now we're working on getting our routine down in the morning so it's not a rush to get out the door AND on top it off--the day before she started school, she got sick! So we've been battling a slight cold--ugh, talk about drama...but that's life when you have kids, right?

So, in case you were wondering...Arianna's first day of Pre-K went good! The teacher said she was a little shy (but she's always like that, until she gets to know someone) but no major concerns. Arianna had a little reservations about the whole thing but she still liked it. (FYI: That was the first time we've EVER left her alone--can you believe it?? Yeah, we're a little psychotic when it comes to her, plus she was sick so she wasn't in the best mood to begin with)

Today, however was a whooole different animal. She was SOOO excited when I picked her up! She was estatic. She said she had the BEST day and had so much fun which in turn gave mommy the BEST day... :)

How was your little one's first day of school??
