My Little Picasso

I know that EVERY parent thinks their kid is the smartest, or the cutest, or the most talented but I really do think my daughter Arianna has a knack for drawing-the girl LOVES her arts and crafts. I know what you're thinking..every kid likes to draw or color but Arianna spends HOURS coloring, HOURS drawing. Give this little girl a pen and paper and she's good for the day!

Yesterday afternoon we picked up my mother from work. We arrived a little early so we had some time to kill. She gave Arianna some pen and paper and sat her down at a desk. Arianna drew not only kids stuff--trees, flowers, etc but she also drew my mom's entire office! With very close attention to detail!! I couldn't believe it--she's 4 yrs old people!

Maybe I am over reacting but I couldn't help but feel proud. She's taking after her mama! I've always been very artistic and for some of you who may not know, I worked at a Interior Design Firm before I had Arianna. I feel like she maybe following my footsteps, who knows?!

Will she be the next Picasso or the next Frank Lloyd Wright??....only time will tell. :)

Registering for School & Family Fun Night

On Thursday afternoon I took my daughter to get registered for Pre-K! I can't believe it!! I was JUST talking about how big my baby is getting a few days ago and now she's getting ready for school! I-can't-take-this! Remind me to take a paper bag with me when I drop her off to school-- just in case I start hyperventilating...

I know SHE'LL love it though. She already enjoys being in a classroom environment when I take her to her Story time and Arts and Craft's Classes every week....MOMMY is the who's not sure if she can handle this!!

Theeen yesterday night we had a family fun night and took Arianna to a pirate themed mini golf in Kissimmee, FL. She had a BALL...well we all did. We got there a little bit before sundown so it wasn't 1000 degrees outside--Thank God! The location was very cute it had pirate skulls and pirate decor everywhere. There was even pirate music on and had waterfalls and bridges you had to cross.


The golf course even finished up in a pirate cave that was lit only by old sconces and was very cool and creepy. Arianna LOOOVES pirates. She's a girly girl but she's got a little bit of tomboy in her too.

So I ended winning the game--OF COURSE :) . Arianna got her complimentary pirate flag and we were off to a nearby restaurant to get some food. (I won't name the restaurant because the food was terrible.) We should have known better than to go to "tourist" area to eat...they usually don't have the best foods there but we decided to take our chances since it's a BIG NAME restaurant and lost...oh boy, never again.

Even though the food was not so great we still had a good enough time that we all went home happy and straight to bed! :)

They Grow Up In The Blink Of A Eye. Don't They?

I feel like it was just yesterday that I was bringing Arianna home from the hospital. I remember clearly the day she said her first word. (I tell Jason I don't, since she said "dada" and won't ever let me forget it..so shhh, let's not tell him about this.) I remember her walking--well more like wobbling around the house talking on the phone to anyone who would listen to her babble and now my little girl is 4 yrs old and getting so big with her own personality, her own sense of humor and own crazy diva-ness (which I gotta admit, I secretly love). But sometimes don't you just wish they were still that little baby you brought home from the hospital still cooing and awing??....I miss those days.

What The HELL Is Going on With SATC2??!!!

So just like any loyal fan of Sex and the City I've been eagerly anticipating the release of the Sex and the City 2 Movie. Now to give you some background-I've been a fan since DAY 1. I was the girl who couldn't wait till Sunday rolled around so I could sit down with my snacks and watch what happened next with Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte. So needles to say when the first movie came out I was ECSTATIC and when I found out there was going to be a 2nd one I was almost EUPHORIC....until the trailer was released.

OY! What the hell were they thinking? Who approved this script? What the hell is up with the Abu Dhabi location?? Was that Miley Cyrus that I saw?? Huh? What??... And theeen to top it off with a big cheese-ball size cherry-- Carrie just "bumps" into Aiden in the middle east! COME ON! Seriously??! Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Aiden fan. In fact when they were together I was Team Aiden all the way but now that she settled down with Mr. Big why is there a need to re-live this whole Aiden vs. Mr. Big saga? Why is it PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for Carrie to just be drama free when it comes to men?

Maybe I'm just jumping the gun here and when the movie comes out I'll love it and eat my words... but for now, I just want to go on record here and say that I think it looks ridiculous.
